Our Vision

To nurture a vibrant, resilient and sustainable arts and culture community throughout Chatham-Kent.

Our Mission

The Chatham-Kent Arts Council enriches the cultural life of our community by creating, connecting and celebrating the arts.

We foster creative expression, advocate for local artists and arts organizations. We provide accessible opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the transformative power of the arts.

We aim to enhance and elevate Chatham-Kent as a vibrant center of artistic innovation through outreach, collaboration, and investment.

Our Values

We believe in the intrinsic value of artists and the arts, and their ability to inspire positive transformation for individuals and communities.

  • We represent the interests of local arts and culture entities and individuals, and strive to unite our diverse creative community.

  • We believe that collaboration enriches the arts, and unites the communities in which they exist.

  • We hold that our artists provide a critical creative dialogue essential to the ongoing social and economic health of the community.
